“A lot of us aren’t. And you know what? You’re amazing for it. You’re no different from anyone else. If you’re a guy that likes a guy, go you! If you’re a girl that likes a girl, go you! If you’re literally anyone, go you! Be who you are and don’t think any less of yourself for it.
I’ve been living with this mindset for a while now. And you know what? It’s been going great. A year ago, I met the love of my life and we’ve been together ever since. Guess what? It’s a guy, and I feel like the luckiest person alive. He’s my first boyfriend and most likely be my future husband. We don’t and won’t live any differently than anyone else. We might not be able to have kids, but we’ll adopt. So yeah, we’ll read our kids bedtime stories, we’ll see their first steps, first words, first everything. All that, just like anyone else.
Remember, it gets better. If you’re a kid in school, remember that you just have to keep going until graduation. When that day comes, you can live life however you want and no one can do anything to change it. Really, it gets better. It got better for me. It’ll get better for you. You’ll find friends that support you. Maybe you’ll even find your soulmate.
