You are not alone!
For almost 30 years, My Friend’s Place has not only been a safe haven for homeless and runaway young people, but also a comprehensive resource center. There, clients can take care of their basic needs including food, clothing, showers, and most crucially—a sense of belonging.
My Friend’s Place is a hate-free space that allows young people to create art, music, and other projects that are made available for purchase in the “Corner Collective” gallery. Through this program, clients can see that the community cares for them and sees their potential.
“Being yourself is the most patriotic, American, beautiful thing that you can do for yourself.”
“Happy people make a better world.”
Tim Gunn’s story of triumph is one that all #LGBT youth should hear. Tim managed to create a world for himself where all his dreams could become realities. Thank you for sharing your story with us on It Got Better only on L Studio!
Russia's #LGBT youth need to know that we’re still here to support them. Reblog this graphic with your friends and family to show your commitment!
Messages from all over the world are pouring in to our inboxes for Russia’s LGBT youth. We love this video from Nuan Nuan in China! There really is support in more places than you know.
I think loving yourself is really important. Taking care of your own needs is something people need to do, whether it’s listening to music in the bath to escape the world, or remembering to have breakfast. Doing something different with your hair, or recognising you have achieved something good today, however small.
